We are used to seeing shapes at weddings, but this year, think outside of the box and use different shapes in areas where you would traditionally use others.

Instead of circle shaped tables, use square tables. Square tables work great for a modern feel, unique decorating and table seating. Rather than the normal tiered circular wedding cake, stack squares, one on top of the other. And, replace the rectangle wedding party table with an oval shaped table so the bridesmaids and groomsmen can have a conversation, rather than be on display to your guests.

Break away from the tradition, step away from the bag containing your grandmother's wedding dress. In 2007 brides are choosing to wear dresses that show off their own idea of beauty!

There has always been an unspoken rule of wearing a white wedding dress, but leave it to modern brides in 2007 to break the rules and walk down the aisle wearing dresses in cappuccino, mint green or champagne. And, when exchanging vows, your guests are going to be staring at you and your fiancés back for the majority of the ceremony, so brides are making sure their backs look fabulous, wearing daringly low cut backed dresses with embroidery, lace and monograms covering the train.

Brides are opting to look feminine this year, using ribbons, bows, flowers and dainty sleeves. But, the main thing to remember is to let your personality show in what you decide to wear!

In 2007, couples are moving away from casual and going towards sophisticated. This year weddings will be glamorous and elegant.

Not only will you see more lace, embroidery and beading on the brides' dress, you will also see it on the bridesmaids' dresses, in the bouquets and flower arrangements, on the table runners and in the invitations and programs.

Along with all of the stylish embellishments, couples are doing other things to add class to the big day, offering cocktails before and after the ceremony. Instead of serving one dish, guests are invited to walk around the reception room and choose from a variety of trendy dishes and hor'd'oeuvres. Even guests are participating in the new trend, wearing black tie affair attire for the special occasion.
