Not all brides want to have full-on bachelorette
party thrown for her. The idea of a bachelorette party brings
to mind bar hopping, drinking, and scantily clad men all over
the bride-to-be, which for some can be a bit of a turn-off.
But there’s
no way you’re going to let the bride get away with not
celebrating it all, so here are a few ideas of some alternatives
to the traditional bachelorette party:
Take the bride and all the bridesmaid off for a spa
day a few days before the wedding. You can all relax and enjoy
a little bit of downtime while getting manicures and pedicures
to pretty up your hands and feet.
Take the bride to her favorite
lunch spot for a little girls only luncheon before everything
starts really getting together. It’ll be a nice way for
her to enjoy some quality time with her friends and family.
Divide into teams (bridal
party vs. guests?) and have a little scavenger hunt. It can be
just a local hunt, or be extra creative with a city-wide hunt
with rules such as “you
can’t buy anything, and you can’t get anything from
someone’s house”.
Take all of the girls downtown to ride the
ferry over to Coronado for an evening. Take the ferry back for
a beautiful view of the city and harbor.
Get together and go bowling;
have a movie night – show
movies with hot actors in the main roles; get together for cocktails
at the Maid of Honor’s house; go to Belmont Park and ride
the roller coaster and play carnival games; anything else that
will help you, your bridal party, and your friends relax and
enjoy a little time together before the wedding day! |
