Creating the center pieces for your wedding reception is one of the easiest ways to save money and make your wedding stand out. Go to a craft store and buy all of the materials and then get crafty.
• Get a variety of mirrors in different shapes and sizes. Put the mirrors in the center of each table at the reception. On top of the mirrors sprinkle flower petals. Simple but elegant.
• Place medium sized bowls in a neutral color in the center of the table. Inside the bowls put coffee beans or something that smells good and will make a good filler. Push 3 candles that vary in size into the coffee beans. The candles should be the color of your wedding.
• Rent chill buckets for champagne and in the center of every table have a chill bucket, along with votive style candles surrounding it. Delegate someone to fill the buckets with ice right before the guests get there and place already opened champagne in the buckets. When the wedding toasts is about to begin your guests can easily fill their glasses with the champagne, rather than waiting for the caterers to do it.
• Get a variety of bowls, in different sizes, shapes and colors. Place them in the center of each table and put water and floating candles in them. Stick with the same floating candles for each bowl to keep some consistency in the decorations.
• Buy 3 different sized vases for each table. Slice several oranges, lemons and limes. Fill each vase with water and put oranges in one, lemons in another and limes in the last one. Then put a flat, floating candle on top. This is great for a unique look.
