It's nice to have invitations made for you, but it's also nice to give your invitations a personal touch. If you want to save some money and make your own invitations there are several ways to do it.
• Make your own save-the-date cards, shower invitations, bachelorette party invitations and wedding invitations. Keep the same theme throughout them all.
• Go to an art store or a craft store and buy paper & envelopes that match the colors of your wedding. Also buy ribbon that coordinates or is the same color of your wedding. On your computer type up a cute saying or poem and all of the wedding information, print it on the lightest color paper you have, punch two holes in the paper, tie the ribbon through the paper and put it in the envelope. Don't forget you'll need a reply card and envelope too.
• Include a charm or pendant that says "love" or has you and your fiance's name on it. Attach it to the inside of the inivation.
• Buy a simple card stock and print a saying, along with the wedding details on it. Place a sheer, light colored paper over it and tie the two invitation together with a ribbon.
• Go through the scrap booking aisle of your favorite craft store. You will get tons of ideas just looking at the different stickers, papers and tools.
• Do something with a picture of you and your fiance. Imprint it into the invitation using a scanner. Tie a picture of the two of you and the invitation together. Or just simply place a picture in the envelope along with the invitation to give it a personal touch.
