Create Your Own Placecards

Why not spice things up a little bit with a creative twist on the regular table assignment cards? There are lots of ways to create a table assignment card so give yours a little pizzazz. Let your guests indulge a little while they find their assigned seating.

  • The simplest thing to do for your table assignment cards is to create something that mimics your invitations. A simple, folded card will do the trick. You can match the fonts on these to the table numbers, invitations, or wedding programs that you have already created.
  • Sweeten things up with a little early dessert for your guests. Write their names and table numbers out in royal icing on sugar cookies, cupcakes, gingerbread people, or other stylish cut-out.
  • Use small treat bags to write your guests name and numbers on. Fill the bags with something special, such as candy, noisemakers, bubbles, candles, or party poppers.
  • Get back to nature with some seeded handmade papers. Guests will be able to plant the paper when they get back home and can take a little bit of nature home with them.
  • Fill organza bags with potpourri, petals, candies, candles, or other items. Attach guest's names and table numbers with a small tag and ribbon.
  • Use glassine or translucent envelopes and attach guest's names on the outside with a small label. Fill the envelopes with something special, such as a scratch off lottery ticket, a note filled with quotes or the history of wedding traditions, after dinner mints, seeds, candies or other treat.
  • Get little photo frames and fill them with either of photo of the bride and groom with an attached tag or just the guest's names. The guest's will get a little keepsake to take home with them.
