Besides getting married in a church, hotel, or in one of San Diego's pretty outdoor locations, there are a number of various locales to have your wedding take place. If you can rent out the space, chances are you can have your wedding held there. Here are a few ideas for some more offbeat locations to your wedding.
Bernardo Winery, Deer Park Winery or one of the vineyards in Temecula is a good place to start looking at possible locations for your wedding.
Many of our local golf courses have beautiful landscaping and great club houses. A couple of good places to start looking would be the Cottonwood Golf Club, Bonita Golf Club or the La Costa Resort and Spa.
One beautifully located museum to consider is the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla, which can be rented out for special events.
Consider a wedding in the countryside in a meadow or orchard. A great place to start looking would be near Julian, the small mountainside resort just east of San Diego. Julian offers a variety of locations for your wedding ceremony. Brookside Farm in Dulzura, Chanteclair Country Manor in North County or the Quail Botanical Gardens in Encinitas are a few other locations to help jumpstart your search.
The Star of India or the Berkeley ferryboat may be a wonderful way to take advantage of San Diego's beautiful harbor.
Other places to consider:
- Veteran, Legion, Club, or Meeting Halls
- Theaters
- Old Schoolhouse (see the Old Richland Schoolhouse in San Marcos)
- University chapels
- Your favorite bar or club
- Restaurant's private dining room
