Create Your Own Monogram!
There are several options when thinking of creating your monogram. If you are feeling creative.. design it yourself by incorporating the colors of your wedding and your favorite font.

Create a Personalized Wedding Logo
Hire a graphic designer to create a logo to reflect
the interest of the bride & groom. Some examples are a basketball for an athletic couple, a surfboard for a couple who likes the ocean or a film strip for a couple who likes movies.

You can then use the logo on your invitation, programs, place cards, napkins and thank you cards. Because the logo will be unique to the couple it will create a great conversation piece.

Create Your Own Wedding Vows
Write your wedding vows to add a personalized touch to your wedding. It will also let your fiance and wedding guests know how you are really feeling on your wedding day.

Go a step further and print the vows in the program. Sometimes it is hard to hear the bride and groom exchange vows, this will give your guests the opportunity to read along with what you are saying.

RSVP Postcards
Instead of using traditional RSVP cards, consider sending along postcards as your reply card. Postcards are pretty simple to make and you can get four out of one piece of cardstock (or more, if you make smaller cards). Use deckle edge scissors to create a pretty border and use the other side to attach something creative, such as a favorite verse or poem, a photo, or other object. Postcards are not only less bulky, but they're cheaper to send as well! Be sure to get the .24 cent rate postage for your RSVP postcards.

Unique Invitation or Save the Date Card Ideas

  • Make your own concert tickets with your wedding date set on them. Think of ticketmaster tickets, Padres tickets, Sea World, etc.
  • Use library card pockets as your invitations, with the due date as your wedding date.
  • Use your favorite animal, logo, photo etc. as a part of the decoration on the card.
  • Make your invitation or card look like an old telegram (goes especially well with any vintage or retro themed weddings).
