Forgo the DJ: Make Your Own CD or Playlist
With iPods, mp3s, and digital music galore, it's very possible for you to forgo getting a DJ and providing your own music via your iPod or specially mixed and burned CDs. The advantage is that you'll be able to totally customize your reception with exactly the kind of music you want. The disadvantage is you won't have someone to MC the event - but that's an easy fix by just asking a friend or family member to pause the action when necessary to make toasts, do the first dance, and other activities you'd like to do at your reception.

Rent a Photobooth

Give your guests a little something fun to do and fill up a scrapbook from your wedding at the same time by renting a photobooth for your wedding. Photobooths are somewhat noglastic now as you don't find them in many places any more, or they have gone way the way of the digital age. Let your wedding guests take some classic photobooth strip photos for their own keepsakes and one for your wedding day scrapbook. Be mindful though that photobooths do have some limitiations as they are heavy and will not fit in every venue!

Turn the slideshows from your vacations, honeymoon, reception and more into videos to share with your friends and family. Send them before or after your wedding or easily create your own video for your reception or ceremony.
