This county park is located adjacent to Old Town and is dedicated to the preservation of San Diego's Victorian architecture. All of the houses were moved to their current location and are leased out to preserve the Victorian theme. Wedding services, a doll shop, bed and breakfast inn, law office, antique store, and a community meeting place now operate in Heritage Park. There are seven preserved homes in all, each featuring a distinctive style and history.

 
San Diego USS Midway USS Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum
Live the adventure, honor the legend aboard the longest-serving aircraft carrier in U.S. Navy history - a 47 year odyssey that spanned the end of WWII and the liberation of Kuwait in 1991. Located downtown in San Diego at Navy Pier, this self-guided tour features 40+ exhibits and displays and 19 restored aircraft. The Midway Museum is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm.

san diego strawberries Pick Your Own Strawberries
Spring is the perfect time of year for one of the most delicatible fruits of the year, the strawberry. The Carlsbad Strawberry Company has been in operation for three generations, offering visitors the chance to enter their fields and gather their own strawberries to enjoy at home. The fields are located just east of the Cannon Rd exit off I-5 in Carlsbad. They are open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. A small bucket costs $5 and a large bucket costs $10.

Ocean Beach Kite Festival
The Kiwanis Club of Ocean Beach presents the 59th annual Ocean Beach Kite Festival, a fun day in the sun for families, on Saturday, March 3. They teach children how to make kites, give prizes for the best, and then walk to the beach to fly them. There are carnival rides, a craft fair, music, and refreshments.

14th Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival
"The San Diego Latino Film Festival is about much more than just film. The festival not only provides a great opportunity to screen some of the best Latino films each year, but also the opportunity to celebrate Latino visual artists and musicians." March 8-18, 2007 at the Ultra Star Cinemas at Hazard Center in Mission Valley.

Adams Avenue Roots & Folk Festival
Folk, blues and ethnic music are featured at this live event in the heart of Normal Heights. From traditional folk to bluegrass to country to celtic to just old time music, you'll get music that's stripped of the gloss and played the traditional way by some fine roots musicians. This music, food and crafts fest is free.

April 21-22, this event runs from Saturday 10am to 9pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm. The event is located on Adams Avenue from 34th to Wilson in Normal Heights.

Linda Vista Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair and Parade
Celebrating community cultural diversity, the Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair and Parade showcases performers from around the world on three stages. The World Arts Village spotlights traditional craft demonstrations, and there's also a Kids Zone and ethnic food court.

Gator by the Bay Gator by the Bay - Zydeco & Blues Festival
Come down to Spanish Landing Park, across from the airport, to enjoy the festivities and music, including 25+ bands playing Zydeco, Blues, Country, Swing and Cajun music on four stages over three days. Not only will there be lots of music to listen and dance too, there are nightly evening dances and dance lessons available for those who want to learn the proper dance moods. Cajun creole food, cooking demos, evening dances & dance lessons.

May 11-13th. General admission is $15, $75 for a weekend pass. Kids under 17 accompanied by an adult get in for free.

 
San Diego Festival 14th Annual Sicilian Festival
The music, dance and cuisine of Sicily comes to the streets of San Diego's Little Italy on Sunday, May 20, 10 am-6 pm, as part of the 14th annual Festa Siciliana celebration on India Street. The event features the nationally-acclaimed Roman Holiday Ensemble, whose repertoire includes a wide variety of Italian and Sicilian music as well as a swinging Louie Prima and Frank Sinatra show. Costumed dancers will perform traditional Sicilian dance as well as swing, polka and other lively dances in a non-stop party atmosphere. Food booths will line the streets to satisfy the hungry crowds by serving up Sicilian specialties of all varieties. Festa visitors will also be able to relax at a wine and beer garden or shop among the many booths offering Italian-themed artifacts and services.
