The Carlsbad Strawberry Company has been in operation for three generations, offering visitors the chance to enter their fields and gather their own strawberries to enjoy at home. The Kiwanis Club of Ocean Beach presents the 59th annual Ocean Beach Kite Festival, a fun day in the sun for families, on Saturday, March 3. They teach children how to make kites, give prizes for the best, and then walk to the beach to fly them. There are carnival rides, a craft fair, music, and refreshments.
