Torrey Pines State Reserve is located within San Diego city limits and yet remains one of the wildest stretches of land on our Southern California coast! Because of the efforts and foresight of the people in this area, 2000 acres of land are as they were before San Diego was developed - with the chaparral plant community, the rare and elegant Torrey Pine trees, miles of unspoiled beaches, and a lagoon that is vital to migrating seabirds.
Torrey Pines State Reserve is a day-use park only - no overnight camping and no food or beverage (besides water) allowed in the reserve except on the beach. There are parking fees for cars entering the reserve.

The first Thursday
of every month, the Museum of
Contemporary Art San Diego hosts TNT (Thursday Night Thing),
an ongoing program of intriguing events in MCASD's Downtown
galleries. Beginning at 7 pm, something different and interesting
will be happening downtown— from slide jams, DJ lessons,
and poetry readings to live bands, artists' talks, and video
projections— TNT's eclectic events will be occasions
to interact with the arts and artists in the San Diego region.
Thursday, February 5th, TNT joins forces with Fallen
Fruit, an LA-based activist art project that uses fruit
as a lens to investigate urban space, ideas of neighborhood,
and new forms of located citizenship and community. Hear the
founding members of Fallen Fruit discuss their work at the
beginning of the night, then stay for communal jam-making and
many other fruit-centric experiences.

San Diego Museum
of Man’s ‘Tower After Hours™’ celebrates
the authentic dance, music and cuisine of Ireland.
More than 300 people are expected to enjoy live traditional
music and dance performed by dozens of Irish musicians and
dancers who hold regular impromptu sessions at the many Irish
pubs and restaurants throughout San Diego. Authentic food and
drink will also be served from San Diego based Irish Pubs.
Past participants include The Field Authentic Irish Pub, Hooley’s
Irish Pub & Grill, Dublin Square Irish Pub & Grill,
and Thornton’s Irish Pub. Authentic artifacts from Ireland
